Anticipated New Movies That Continue the MCU.
Avengers: Endgame brought to a close the evolving Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU.) But, of course, this doesn’t mean that the massively profitable franchise is gone for good. On the contrary, it simply means that it is entering into a new phase. Phase 4, as it is being called, is due to start soon.

But with the global health crisis still in full swing, things have been a bit confused as far as film releases are concerned. Even so, there are a number of MCU films already slated for release. Although these release dates may adjust, the films themselves are certainly going to see the light of day.
Here are the confirmed MCU films that are on the horizon, and their tentative release dates.

Black Widow

As one of the most popular characters, speculation was high that Black Widow would get her own spinoff film. This has been confirmed, with a release date suggesting November 2020. The film will, of course, see Scarlett Johansson return as the titular character.

The exact plot of the Black Widow standalone film is currently confidential, but various reports say that Black Widow’s life before the Avengers will be brought into the spotlight. Plus, fingers crossed, there have been hints that Red Guardian will be her nemesis. For those not aware, Red Guardian is the Russian version of Captain America.

The Eternals

A full cast of new characters are set to be debuted in The Eternals. The lesser known comic book series deals with a group of super powered aliens, all of which are close to being literally immortal. Even less is known about The Eternals plot than Black Widow, with only the cast and director confirmed. The release date was November 2020, but this has been pushed back indefinitely until the world health crisis comes a bit more under control. Thor: Love And Thunder

Early reports say that Natalie Portman will also be back, which is somewhat unexpected, and that she will take on the role of a female Thor. A new character is also set to be introduced, Valkyrie, who is a central part of the comic book series. Release was set for a November 2021, but this is now unknown.

Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness

Doctor Strange is back, which means that Benedict Cumberbatch is also back. Though, his second film is being referred to as the first horror entry into the MCU. This is an interesting thought indeed, and has certainly got some attention. The next Doctor Strange entry was due out in May 2021, but this has been pushed back to November 2021.
